Sell the box for about $50 and then spend $20 for the supplies you need to build your own. Q-Logic boxes are horrid... they flex way too much.

Next, check around for the 2005 model Alpine Type-R SWR-1222D or the Kicker CVR12-2. The Alpine lends better to ported boxes where as the Kicker will swing both ways. You can find both subs for under $100 each and should easily handle the amp. Only one problem... I don't think you have the right specs on the amp. Last I checked the KAC-8401 is a 4 channel bridgable with a peak of 640W @ 4ohm stable. Also, the amp is an A/B amp rather than a Class D so it will be a little less effecient than you thought. The speakers I've recommended are both dual voice coil 2ohm. There will be a chance that you can get dual voice coil 4ohm at a cheaper price, but don't... you will have more wiring options with the 2ohm sort.

You've got a good deck, a decent amp, and a horrid box. When you build the box, make sure you build it using 3/4" MDF found at any hardware store. When building the box, make sure you use pilot holes and counter sink 1-3/4" screws spaced every 4". If I were in Cali I'd help you build the box, but I'm sure there are others in your area who would be willing to help.

Good luck!

Ill read up on the 2 subs u suggested do a lil research n stuff for sure.
As for the amp thats what i found too that it was 640w ect... and posted on few forums asking if it was fake, along with my current subs. they said subs were fake and amp might be real just an older model here is the thread with some pics --> http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=5028 <--

Yup, I remember the thread. The subs you got are essentially rehashed volfenhags with the labels wet-locked on. The box the amp came in is pretty elborate if it were a fake, what I would do is spend $20 at a good local shop and have it bench tested for RMS and peak ratings so you can get an idea of the output you will look for. Bench testing isn't something you can really do at home unless you have the testing equipment needed.

Though if you really think about it...the box wont make much of a difference because of the power he is putting down. For under 200 you aren't going to have a mind blowing sub to put very much pressure on the box. The box will hold up to what you want to do.

They prolly rated your amp as a 1000w peak power amp. That is no where near what it will ever put out. Most amps are rated on 14.4 volts. Your car is 12 volts unless you up the battery power. Expect to only see maybe 400 watts of power on a RMS basis.
I did look at the amp you have and they did rate it by 14.4. So it will be bridgable at 180W at 4 ohms on a 14.4 power supply. Expect to see a lot less than that. This amp was designed for nice door speakers.

A rule of thumb it is better to have more power that to not have enough. A lack of power over time will destroy the sub. I would possibly look into buying a better amp and just having one sub.

an infinity perfect 12 will sound much better on good power than two kicker 12's with no power.

But if you want two 12's kicker would be the way to go.

Careful with the paper cone subs. They tend to flex a little when playing the really heavy notes. That makes the lower tones sound washed out or muddy.
