So I picked it up on August 11th about 555km away from home with a trailer (many thanks to my father-in-law)

I experienced it has been owned by a soldier in germany for about 2 years and he sold it with about 27000 miles after he had an accident to a german dealer.

Looking from outside there is just a little crack in the bumper (ignoring the missing headlights

Most conspicuous were a wrong throttle body, defective steering pump, missing antenna, missing washing water nozzles, 2 missing alloys, and so on.
The car stood since Feb. 07 until August 10 and has lost some parts within that time. But the engine ran
Back home I have been very lucky finding a neon on a junkyard nearby a week later. Here I got the antenna, nozzles and the most wanted - the entire front

Middle of september the correct throttlebody arrived

and went directly in.
The steering pump has been more difficult. I don´t now exactly
what they did with it, but the reservoir was just a piece of s...

I took the reservoir from the pump out of the blue here, but a hose in the SXT was defective and the pump
itself sounds poor. So I have been glad to receive a used pump from the states a few days later.

Days went by and I had to check some electrical issues -
we have to install a rear foglight including control lamp, seperate the rear turn signal lights from the stop lights and let them be amber.
As my "euro-neon" has a multifunctionswitch including the rearfoglight function and the cluster has the control lamp I thought
there has to be a way...
So I found out, that pin12 on the MFS-plug is unused at the SXT but delivering the power for the rear foglight and the controllamp, too (which goes to pin1 on the cluster-plug).

I took out the needed wiring from a dashboard which I got for little money meanwhile

and installed it

together with the controllamp

and one of these Switches out of my collection

and now have what I wanted to

Yesterday I putted the plates on which I hope that I finally will be allowed to wear on the SXT

and today unscrewed the front bumper and some more

so that we can do the welding until weekend.
Hopefully the weather and kids will be fine tomorow, cause I like
to remove the bumpers, batterie a.s.o.
