sounds alright, i would just go with an ebay cold air intake and save some cash, same with the exhaust, vibrants are nice but they look funny on stock rear bumper, id go with a used srt 4 rear section, cheap with a great sound. and if your plannin on putting the eibachs on you might as well get new struts, probably will blow out the stock ones. i would say go with tociko blues.

What he said. But you should check out the boards. People are always selling things that others may want. The only things I'd get new are the ones that I can't find on the boards or things that are super delicate/valuable.

And unless you got a an aftermarket bumper, the vibrant will look funky from the sides. This is why I'm getting a new rear bumper ;)

Struts are a must if you're getting lowering springs. I have the tokico blues. Good stuff.

Hey, welcome to 2gn. Start looking here on the boards for people selling things new and used. You'll save alot of dough that way. Definately check out ebay! Good luck, oh by the way your list looks good but with the $ you save buying on ebay and the boards you could invest in a new camshaft. Paul.

i agree with the buy stuff used. esp throttle body, ill bet you save a lot of money that way. also ebay for the cai and the exhaust. no point in spending money you dont have to so then you can upgrade more if you desire.

well your list looks good but i really dont think the springs would go with the sway bars. i woudl do a combination of the sway bars with coilovers. i jsut thinkthe springs would deffete the purpose of the bars.
the mpx tb is a good bolt on so ive heard and well worth the money.
for exhaust you might want to look at the srt cat-bak.
i dont think you would really need a highflow cat.
the racing header is race only. that thing is going to be laud .
and if yo di get it at least get the srt rear section for better flow. the vibrant exhaust has a muffler that seems it would restrict flow.

maybe if you told us how much hp are you lookig to gain it would help point some things.

These people all have good advice, buy whatever you can used, everyone says to avoid sportlines but I love mine, just start saving for struts like they said. Being an atx I would advise that you hold off on the header and cat and use that money to upgrade the trans. Definatly look for a tranny cooler, their pretty cheap, mayba a high stall TC and a reverse manual valvbody. Unless you plan on going all motor route, I would once again not do the header, in case in the future you decide you want boost youll have to replace it. the rest are pretty well rounded mods that would work no matter which way you go but dont expect huge gains with just the engine mods, I made the mistake of buying all my shit new thinkin i was gonna smoke some cars when I was done, but $1500 later I felt cool but was still an 18 sec ATX(didnt do any trans mods) with an empty wallet.

Correct, no RMVB for the 4 speed auto.

The only way to get a good tranny on that new of a car would be to swap to a mtx.

If you want power out of the atx, your gonna have to go with a turbo. The old 2.2 liters they put in the old Daytonas/Omni's/Horizons some of them carried a turbo so look out for those. Or you can always get an srt-4 turbo, these will probaby become more common cause people tend to wreck em. And yes you can make the srt-4 an atx. Boost all the way.

Yeah I would look into making your tranny stronger, a tranny cooler will help alot! The stuff I mentioned above is gonna take alot of money and time. Welcome to 2gn.org

*Edit* remember the 2.0 sohc atx does not put out 132 hp. Only around 100-110. Drivetrain Loss

yup looks like everyonr has you covered, if you really want to look into getting headers then i wouldnt go beyond the magnum header.
another thing for your atx is insurance buy getting a atx fluid cooler. you can fine then really cheap if you take your time looking for one. or do what i did, i got mine in the junk yard. found a perfect size the used up the entire front radiator mount and plugged it to the tranny return lines. it was a powersteering cooler from some big car. i flushed it and painted it flat black and was good as new. if you need help doing it i can post pics for help.

also if you want the hard quick shifts and responce like a mtx i would look into the performance valve body.
ive heard really good things about it from people that go that way. only thing is you have to get used to the shift points, if your just cruising normaly you may thing the tranny is stuck inthe same gear and not shifting. thing is that is only shift at high rpms dont really know the details.. good luck

I am not sure of that either..If you get the reverse manual valve body, can you just shift it under low rpms when you are driving in the city and you don't want to go fast? Or do you just stay in 1st gear til you hit 4k then shift..Anyone with the rmvb respond? Posinous?

Forget any RMVB ideas...he is driving a 2004.

The only 2gn cars that can have the RMVB are 2000's and maybe a VERY select few 2001's.

Other than that every 2gn car has a 4 speed. They are only for 3 speed ATX's.

Also with the RMVB you can shift whenever you want. You can shift it at low rpms or high. It just makes the 3 speed a cluthless manual.

I think MOST of the 01's were 3 speeds.

*Edit* I just found out my 01 is a 3 speed atx. I called up the local dodge dealership and gave them my VIN number. Turbo application, here I come. :D

Anyway, I hope they make one for the 4 speed atx, if it possible.
