Booger question

Post by drsokol » Sun Oct 10, 2010 5:17 pm

i just put in the booger bushings on my 2002 neon and my shifter doesn't always like to return to center while not in gear and the 2-3 shift isnt always smooth, instead of a nice firm push up from second to get into third i have to move the shifter back to center then up to get it to engage. Do the bushings take time to break in a little or do i have to adjust something to compensate for the new bushings?

It's normal and doesn't cause a problem. It will "loosen" up over a week or so of use. The shifter itself does NOT have a spring to return the handle to center.
