Alpine Head unit and Dodge 4 Disk In-Dash CD Changer

Post by Cokedoctor » Tue Oct 12, 2010 6:04 pm

I have an Alpine IDA-X200 headunit. I would like to hook up my Dodge 4 Disk In-Dash CD Changer to it. Can someone point me in the right direction what to buy to make this work? My radio has an Ai-Net female plug in the back of it...and the Dodge CD Changer has a male M-Bus wire. I assume at the CD Changer itself, it is also Male.

Thanks.

I have an Alpine ida-X100 as well. I don't think it will work. The controls for the CD changer are in the oem HU not the changer itself. I could be wrong though. I'd love to know if it's possible but I doubt it is.

you would have to make your own custom cable and then pray that the alpine hu can control the changer, which most likely won't happen. no one has ever found an aftermarket hu that controls the stock changer.
