You just said they "just do". Like they buy that hood because it has the gap, not because they like the hood.

So what are you saying?

I'm saying that they like the hood but there is no reason for them not minding the gap, they just don't care about it for no reason.

What Kyle said... no one LIKES the gap, but it is what it is. It's more valuable to have the SRT hood than the gap offsets it negatively. It's a small price to pay in many people's opinion, clearly. Can't believe this discussion made it this far.... wow.

Lane, I have a surprise for you. I swear to god people search thread's for their name so they can come in and post.

Lane painted his car?

Sean I understand what you are saying, but I still don't understand. It's not that people don't care about the gap, or they don't mind it. It's just the pro's of the srt hood outweigh the gap.

Personally, I notice a slowdown around this time every year. I know I would post less when I lived in Michigan during this time. Cold weather = me not doing shit to my car (especially with no garage).

That said, the forum has digressed in the amount of technical topics these last two years. I find myself on neons.org a lot more now than I was 2yr ago. It's kinda weird how some people just stop posting and fade away, with no one noticing...

Well I'm pissed off now... I went and swapped to an R/T front bumper because people said it would minimize the gap, now it's 10 times worse....

What's funny is that we haven't had a Hurricane in this area of Florida in the 7 years I've live here. Charlie hit 40 miles North, Wilma hit 50 miles South.

Unless you want to equate a hurricane hitting close to having a Hurricane than We've had 2 in 7 years. Hurricane Donna hit this area some 40+ years ago.

You've had snow every year, While I enjoy my 85 degree winters and never have to "Winterize" my car or wear a jacket.

85 degree winters? Hell even here in norcal we see below 30 at least a few times a winter, and 40-50 average the rest of the cold season. Definitely no snow though! This will be my first year "winterizing" - Just ordered some Yoko AVID ENVigors for the Snowflakes. The XS aren't exactly ideal in the rain. I've spent more than half their tread depth over the past six months, so this will help preserve them a bit too.

My Kumho XS's are decent in the Rain. I just hit the switch on my steering wheel to "Gravel" mode and I've never even had a slight hydroplane with them.
