always thought it would be cool to be able to adjust the headlights from inside the car as well.. another Europe-only neon feature.

Yep! Gotta do what you gotta do to keep 'em around. Personally, I'm ridin' solo at the moment, which is alright with me. Some girl in my class asked me for a ride today, but I couldn't with the flat tire and all. She got stuck having to ride the bus

That feature is just a toy. i never use(d) it.
sure - you can turn down your headlights when your trunk is full.
but pff - no need for that!
just one more thing that can brake - and it brakes often.

The originally idea to prescribe adjustable headlights and rear-foglights is really good. So if it would be used as intended the oncoming traffic won´t be dazzled by your headlights if your car is maximum loaded and if there is fog the drivers behind you can recognize you much earlier with rear foglights on.

But often the drivers don´t care and either forget to adjust the headlights or forget to switch the rear foglights off.

So if it won´t work automatically it´s useless.
