Lets see.

Still don't have the car running, But I should by the end of this week.

I ended up upgrading all of my engine bay grounds with the 4 and 8 gauged wire I found throughout my car.

I put the r/t bumper on the car to see how it will look, along with the chrysler grille.

I took the intake manifold off, so that I could rewire the starter with larger gauge wire.

This week:

I'll be getting the car moving again.

Modding the rear door panels so that I can mount my old cadence speakers in them.

I might Drill the holes for the side skirts and get them mounted.

Finish up my engine grounds and reinstall the intake side of the engine.

Basically finish things up, SO I can start driving it again.. Its been awhile.

Pics coming monday..

Are all the power options working? How tough was swapping the harnesses?

I plan on using a dremel to cut them out of the bumper then either plastic weld them in flush or use some plastic adhesive.. havn't quite decided.. Both are good options.

Altogether...Swapping the harnesses was really simple..

Its mostly alot of work, none of it being hard unless you get a different year neon's harness and start messing with the skim crap.. Which has me stalled..

I have everything but the power locks working, Which I'm positive the rke module is causing it, so I swapped it out..

I havn't powered the car up in a while because I need to get a butane solderer to meld my wires the oem ground connectors..

Hopefully that'll all be done tomorrow.

I bought an mtx pcm from a member on here, should have it by wednesday of next week.. Then a running car..wow what it'll be like to have a car that I can drive again..

Also..D- bag at the pull a part says it is not worth his time to look through all the neons that were on the yard when I got my stuff..All 10 of them.

Looks Like, I'll be looking for a new matching skim module, key and vin number.

Thanks..

I really didn't do much today other than putting new eyelets on the engine ground wires and kind of mocking up the side skirts , I should have them on tomorrow, if I don't run in to any set backs.

Also started shaving the third brake light hole on the other trunk lid.. I am debating whether I should make the lip spoiler out of metal...

I did put my other rke module in and everything is functional..Well except both of the passenger power lock actuators. They work but they make these really loud noises..So i'll be getting two more this weekend..

Didn't do too much today..

I rewired the starter and put the engine bay back together.

Finished up some wiring.. I installed another trunk popper switch above the hood popper.
And wired 2 ign power sources so that the cluster and hvac come on when the car is turned on.

I ordered:

Mdf flush mount speakers rings, for the rear doors.

clear front side markers

Alot of leds, for my next led project..Hint, The cluster Is getting alot more leds...:)

I got a new pentastar skim key.
2 new keyless entry remotes.

More to come on monday...

For The side skirts, I have most of the christmass tree clips, but for right now I am not using them. Although the holes are drilled for them, I'm using double sided tape to hold them in on top since they will probly end up being removed many times while I work on the car. They are still screwed in on the bottom.

Nope, I am not keeping those projectors on the car. I will be making retrofits with the vacuum table I made. Although, I may keep them for the winter if I can't sell them.

Lets see.

I bought another mtx pcm, and got the car running again.

But of course some things were bound not to work.

The ac and rear defroster don't work along with the radiator fans.

So for now I had to "rig" the fans to come on when the car is turned on.

Those problems should be fixed soon, I'm pretty sure its something minor that kepping them from turning on.

I got another two power lock actuators so, now everything in the swap works.

I started shaving the boobies off the rear bumper, so far theyare only cut flush, I am just waiting on the plastic adhesive to attach the pieces togther again. No pics, but will on tuesday or wednesday.

We shaved the 3rd brakelight hole in my other decklid along with removing the dents and spoiler holes..
Not done yet, but you get the idea
Image

My entire trunk lid fits inside a chevelle trunk...easily..

Today, I was doing some led stuff.. I put some 3mm blue leds inmy window switches.. I'll see how that comes out tomorrow.

I will be starting the body work once again very soon..

I've been hoping someone would make an AVS spoiler made of sheetmetal... There's got to be a way to create a buck or mold for one. Steel would be way better than fiberglass.

I am most likely going to buy the fiberglass one just to get some measurements.

I was thinking about making a couple extra copies of it in metal, to sell, although I don't think many people would want to this far to have a lip spoiler.

The only thing shying we away from the metal version is the amount of filler needed to define the edges of the avs..

If their was a huge demand for them I would probly get peices cnc'd to the perfect dimensions and sell a kit,but who would want to pay more for metal and all that extra fab work?

I was going to do it to save some money, since I have all the resources at my disposal.

Still alot of work left:

Image

The lip kit comes in tomorrow..

P.s. If any one else tries to do this, don't use the piece that you cut out, just cut a peice of TEO plastic from another bumper and weld it on.

Got my lip today:

Image

Also did some work on the rear bumper.

I pretty much did as much as I can do right now.

I ordered some flexible filler so that I can finish it up.

I will be mounting the lip tomorrow and trimming the bumper up and test fitting it.

Tam, I have the hvac and cluster wired into the rke ign wire so that they both turn with the engine.

Today, I got the old bumper off, and put the new one on to see how much modifying will have to be done.

And, its alot.

The exhaust is off by about 3.5in on each side and they are too low.

Hopefully tomorrow we'll have the exhaust cut up and tacked so that its aligned correctly.

Should be fun.

Also by the end of this week I would like to have the taillight fitted also, but the exhaust is my first priority.

I got my flexable putty and glaze, so I'll be finishing the shaved boobies up this week, If I get my sanding blocks before thursday.

Two pictures, the exhaust is just hanging in them by the flange, but you get the idea.

Nice. I was going to suggest cutting plastic from another bumper for the fillers since the piece you could out would be too small for the hole because of the angle on it. But I see you figured that out
