bump stops
bump stops
the eibach sportline kit came with a couple bump stops. Are those to go onto the front or the back. Also is there any trimming to the bump stops needed for adjusting height? im quite new when it comes to anything neon suspension.

Not sure, but I'd assume they're for the front if there's only 2. If I were you I wouldn't trim the bumpstops.. I trimmed mine then hd to go and buy new ones because I was bottoming the strut out. I'd rather hit the bumpstop than bottom out the strut.

im looking for a happy medium between saving my struts and going lower. im running these on stock srt 4 struts until christmas til i get some tokicos. Speaking of which, do they have the clearance to put on srt wheels or any 17"s for that matter, or is the spring perch the same as a stock neon.

tokico struts are the same perch height as base neon struts, you can run 17's so long as you use a 45 series tire

I ran 215/45/17s on Tokico struts... no reason to go bigger than that. 205/50/17s look stupid.

Re: bump stops
If they came with the kit, they would be correct for the springs. Like Ryan said, don't cut them. Even the oem ones. They are not going to affect the ride height. Park on top of one, and see how much it lifts the tire off the ground. It will have the same effect on ride height.drsokol wrote:the eibach sportline kit came with a couple bump stops.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.

when i was on sportlines/blues, i cut the bump stops for the rear struts and blew a strut in less than a year... i got coilovers out of it though, lol.. it was still not acceptable for it to blow in that short amount of time, "performance" strut or not, i guess what i'm saying is, yeah, don't cut your bump stops, it's not worth it and it really doesn't make a difference in the majority of lowering situations.
