Syncros need replacing
Need some tips on good syncros for the neon mine are.... well i will show you photos when i get the chance but yeah i need to get them replaced with something a lil stronger then OEM
stock ones will hold up just fine so long as you are using good fluid, shifting properly, and use a shifter that has a rod brake (maddog) so you dont beat up the block rings. To be honest i dont think there even is a "performace syncro" for the neon. Which ones went out btw?

3, 4, 5 synchro's are available, but 1st and 2nd aren't. Nothing on the transfer shaft is serviced by chrysler.

If he knows Mitsus, then he would also know Neon MTX's 'by default'.
There is also 'Drakito', here on 2GN and on 'The.Org':

Thank you for confirming this.fixitmattman wrote:3, 4, 5 synchro's are available, but 1st and 2nd aren't. Nothing on the transfer shaft is serviced by chrysler.
I knew there were some discontinued synchros; I couldn't remember which ones.
True, Chrysler will only sell new shafts, well over a thousand apiece.
To have one rebuilt, will need the services of one of the two outfits above.
