Testing the New Mirror

Post by LaidNeon » Sun Dec 04, 2005 3:05 am

Well finally finished making the mount for my new billet mirrors. I only made one so i wouldn't waste my time if i didn't like it. Now i'll get started on the other side cause i think it looks pretty sweet.

Hmmm I dunno.. there's just something about it that doesn't look very proportional to the rest of the car and doesn't flow very well.

yea that would probably look better. if you look at the side profile, you see how high up on the window it sits, thats what makes it look funny imo

I like it, I think it would look better if the stalk was either smaller or black.

Too small IMO
I like the ones you have on the car now with the back side painted the color of the car. Those rock and are one off.

well they aren't really a one off. anyone can do it & it has been done too. I want more of a custom minitrucker look instead of a custom painted look

i think if you have a curved stock like that, that the mirror would be coming down from above, like..mounted on the pillar beside the windshield. it looks like outta place, being small, and coming off a black plastic piece.

Uhm...that's certainly....uhh..different.

I don't personally like it either, but way to go on the unique factor.

The mirrors are a great idea, will look awesome with those wheels...but as much as you dont likely want to do it...I think they would look better mounted right on the door skin
something like this...

Just seemed like it was too high up on the car. Only thing is there would be no room for error now having just got the car painted.

to me the car without mirrors is like someone without ears, just doesn't look right. the mirror mount up on the a pillar like that just doesn't apeal too well with me
