I say take EVERYTHING off the red car and transplant the drivetrain, wiring, seats, and whatever else you want to the silver one. Enjoy SRT power with neon insurance. Then scrap the red shell.

I leave my tender plugged in at all times, it's one from Snap-on. It doesn't draw hardly any power (not even a dollar a month different on the bill) and maintains the battery in the meantime. It will charge it if it needs it, and just monitor if it doesn't. Mine has a harness that I keep inside the engine bay, attached to the battery (capped when the tender is off) hidden so it's easy to unplug the car and plug it back in.

Snap-on is too rich for my blood heh. Seems like this one is working fine.

Yeah I was thinking that. But the silver one is already a SRT.

I wouldn't mind swapping motors though since that one has significant lower mileage. (60k~ less) I am going to mess with it this weekend and maybe drive it around the block if possible.

rebuild the engine in the wrecked one so you have a back up incase your current one decides to take a crap on yah and then you can just rebuild the other one when it craps out.

I'm a bit confused. So you're planning on fixing it? It would easily cost more to fix than it would be worth (literally). Doesn't make a bit of sense to me.

No, it is not going to be fixed. Totally not worth it after seeing the damage some more.
SRT powered 1gn is my dream weekend toy. *drool*

Thats actually a good idea, but I doubt it needs rebuilt...Only 38k on it and it runs like a champ. Probably do a compression test sometime.

Drove it around the block before I washed it. Ran perfect and shifted fine. The alignment felt a "little" off.

Turned a lot of the neighbors heads. Let it run to get up to operating temperatures and then shut it off and poured some Stabil in the tank.

nice you got it for such a good price..i payed 2800 for mine with 65000 miles on it, i could not drive mine tho body was a lil more off. but it looks like it would have been about the same replacement parts as ur lookin at. where did you find this?

Try it with a "real wheel and tire" on the left front .... my car drove like shit on the temporary spare, and it hasn't been wrecked.

Hahaha I see where you saw that. Believe me though, the thread title would be way different. I hope that NEVER happens to me.

Try it with a "real wheel and tire" on the left front .... my car drove like shit on the temporary spare, and it hasn't been wrecked.

I could of done that, but didn't want to mess up my wheels. Yeah you are supposed to put the spare in the back on a FWD car.

This is just me but I would fix it....

The internal body damage is what would be $$$$ and not worth it IMO. Anything over $2k into it wouldn't be worth it. I could get everything pretty cheap its just that main structural damage.

yeah, thats really cool i almost went for a 05 those limited edition ones...the last 250 neon srt4s they made, but didnt have the cash.

i am still with you on not fixing it! too much work and money. it would be much more fun in a 1st gen haha even a 2nd gen. go for the sleeper look. if you weer closer i would say sell it to me

You talking about the damage to the cowl and frame rail?? Or something else inward to that that can't be seen well in pictures?

They were built in early July of 2005 and the last NSRT4 rolled off the line in September of 2005.

Yeah..thats what he was telling me. I guess they were going to take it apart but decided it wasn't worth it and totaled it out.... So it might be worth saving.
I measured the distance between the strut towers and my car is exactly 1'' longer. So it did get pushed in a bit. Emailing some auto body places with pictures and this video:
