WSP Update

Post by SILVER-ES » Sun Dec 04, 2005 12:44 pm

Yesterday was my first phase of testing to become part of the Washington State Patrol. It consisted of two written exams, both multiple choice, that combined totatled 272 questions. We were told if we passed we would get a call that night and if not we would recieve a letter in the mail. About 4:30pm yesterday I got a call from the trooper who was in charge of the testing, I passed!!!

I now go in for my verbal interview this Wednesday. As in on the 7th of December. This is due to their new fast track process. Instead of the testing phases taking 6-9 months it now takes 2-3. If I am good enough to pass the verbal interview which is then followed by a background check and polygraph test I will be given a conditional job offer. It's conditional based on a medical physical and two phsycological tests. They had sad best case scenario if we make it through all the tests we will have job offers by the end of Febuaray or beginning of March.

Needless to say I'm very excited about all of this and hope I do well because I can't wait to actually start the career I want. :D

Hey Chris, to be a WSP for the training and tests and what not do they have them in other parts of the state or more that way? Im just wondering if I ever decided to do something like this if it would be possible from Spokane.

No job yet, a couple more tests and interviews. Hopefully by the end of Febuaray though you'll be able to say that.

The testing only takes place over here as far as I know but they definately station people out of the Spokane area. Catch me on IM or PM me if you ever want to know more specifics.

Just got the call this morning saying that I passed the phase 2 interview. I'm now scheduled to take the polygraph test on December 30th.
