the HAHN kits that mpx sells for the 03-05s comes with the portfueler where as the 00-02 kit does not.

if you are using a standalone ecu then you will not need the portfueler. if your car is an 03+ you will have to run a standalone, or some sort of piggyback fuel injector controler to run a turbo, thats where the HAHN kit uses the portfueler.

the portfueler has no conecction to the stock ecu. it is a piggyback fuel controller that adds an additional four fuel injectors via an adapter plate that goes between the intake manifold and the head.

these four "aux" injectors are ran by the portfueler module which reads rpm's and boost pressure to determine the additional amout of fuel needed.

EDIT:

to answer the last part of your original post, if you bought the kit for the 00-02 neon, you could source out a portfueler or some other fuel injector controler nad possibly save some money however the portfueler cost over a grand from hahn... i have on f/s if your interested though...

if you really want to go boost, id talk to estienmayer on here, he makes and sells a kit for our cars (ASP) that comes with MS, a full standalone ecu, giving you the capabillity to run fuel and spark control.
