MTX tranny parts

Post by lilolneon » Mon Dec 05, 2005 4:53 am

I need a simple breakdown of the parts i would need from an 03+ MTX tranny...

So far i have a shifter knob from an SRT-4 and shifter cables...

I need the breakdown of what else i need, and I would like to do the Hydro Clutch if possible. Thanks

The hydro setup you'll need the master and slave cylinder clutch parts that run about 100-150 new from the dealer. Then you'll need to drill a new hole in the firewall to mount the master cylinder... and you'll have to position the hole correctly to line up with the clutch pedal when you bolt the mtx pedal assembly in.

my concern is, if i use the cable setup and use an 03 SXT ECU for a MTX, is it gonna throw any codes.

Also, whats the biggest ups/downs for the Hydraulic Clutch vs. the Cable Clutch?

Cable or Hydro you doesn't matter... if you threw a code with the cable you'd throw it with the hydro and vise versa

Cable gives you more pedal feel but is less forgiving... hydro is a little more forgiving but you loose some pedal feel
