i got a pair of snowflakes that i was gonna use for drag racing from a buddy of mine. just curious to see what the widest tire is that i could run on it.
04 SRT4, mpx bfmic, knockoff hks bov, injen sri, kinetic wga, 180 thermostat,
fuel pump rewire, mpx 3in turbo back, prothane motor and tranny mount inserts,
booger shift bushings, dsp 93 tune, homemade catchcan, aem uego wideband,
mopar 30psi boost gauge, walbro 255lph, prothane lca bushings.

225/50/15. Bfg drs come in that size. I think a 235/60/15 will fit but they'll bulge a lot and you wont have a good contact patch.

235/60/15 says the minimum wheel width is 6" but yeah, you would not get a good contact patch.

Will 205/60-15 tires get a good contact patch on "fat flakes" ?
Fuzion HRi specs show that 6" is the measuring rim width.

so the best one for the snow flake is 225/50/15?

I'd rather stick with something like a 205 or 215, but that's just me. You want to look at the tire specs and see what the wheel sizes list for that tire are.

The other option is to get the right sized wheel for the tire you really want to run.

well i already have the wheels. they were free so im gonna use them. but as far as the 205 or 215 i do appreciate the answer.

Sometimes having the largest tire possible isn't a good idea. As Frank said, it's a better idea to match the wheel size to the tire you want to run.

Snowflakes are 6" wide, and a 215mm tire is close to 8" wide. A 205 would probably be the largest you would want to go before you start to loose grip and good sidewall characteristics under load.
