belt?

i am about to put a str4 head on my 2.0 block what belt do i need to get. would this belt work

You will probably need a 2.0 DOHC belt. The 2.4 has a taller deck height so a 2.4 DOHC timing belt will be longer than a 2.0 DOHC belt.

That's what I would go with because you will have a 2.0 DOHC not a 2.4 DOHC.

I've never done this so I'm just going by common sense.

Plus the '03+ head has the oil return hole issue.

ya i had the oil problem taken care of already just tryin to find a belt. i was only thinking of the 03-05 belt bc i didnt know if the 1 gn and 2 gn belts where diffrent or not but yes that does make sense

so we agree the 1gn dohc belt is what i need for the 2.0 block with the 2.4 head? i just want to make sure before i oder a belt that dont work. thanks for the help

4667611 is the same belt that is used on the 2.0 DOHC EEC engine in the export PT Cruisers, which uses the same head as the 2.4.

So even for a "2gn" 2.0 DOHC, it is one and the same. :thumbup:
