Christmas decorations
Hey peeps... I know a lot of you have your own house and decorate the outside for Christmas, so I wanted to mention this.
I've been delivering for FedEx through the holidays this year and I cannot count how many idiots do this and it infuriates me (as well as makes my route take a hell of a lot longer)
DON'T PUT FUCKING DECORATIONS UP THAT COVER YOUR GOD DAMNED ADDRESS!!!!!!!
I had a person bitch about me moving their Christmas wreath yesterday. I walked up to the house, pulled the wreath off the wall enough for me to read the address under it, and delivered the package. Literally pulled the bottom 3 inches off the wall and got bitched at for touching their decorations.
So if you are one of those idiots... either stop it, or don't order ANYTHING ever.
Oh, and whether you use your front door or not, shovel the fucking walkway if you are ordering something.
Merry Christmas all!

Why don't you look at their mailboxes.. they should have their numbers on it.. If not, i guess that gift is as good as yours

Most of the time around here the numbers are NOT on the mailboxes. The brick homes are built with a stone with the address built into it so there's (normally) no need to bother with putting it anywhere else...except when idiots block it with decorations.
And yeah... if I actually took a package home and got found out, not only do I lose my 2nd job (and cost my dad his job too since it's his route I'm working on) but I go to jail. Not really worth it for an ipod.

Lolz!
Fed X Christmas rage.
But I can understand your point. It's not like you are a regular mail carrier, that could pretty much deliver stuff in their sleep.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Not even that... it's unsafe. Granted this is a bit of a long shot, but what if there's a problem and you need the police to show up? You really think they know which house with decorations over the address is yours? Very doubtful...
Obviously the fire department could figure it out pretty easily.

Most of the houses around here have plywood up to save their mailboxes from the eminent destruction of snow plows but most have giant painted on addresses. I feel your pain though being a delivery guy for lumber as well as pizza.... make your street address noticeable and clear.

My mailbox is half a block away from my house (all of the boxes for my street are together)- I can't even see it from my house. I have a post office box for this very reason (I don't get mail at my home address and have UPS and FedEx deliveries sent to where I work).
Sean is right on the money about how difficult it is to find house addresses- I have the same problem with my job (businesses are just as bad about hiding or not posting addresses on theiir buildings). It is really tough when you are in motion, trying to make time while you are scanning left and right for address numbers.

As a former semi-driver... I can relate to this. Nothing worse than searching for an address in a large vehicle with which you cannot just stop and park anywhere.TheRandom1 wrote: DON'T PUT FUCKING DECORATIONS UP THAT COVER YOUR GOD DAMNED ADDRESS!!!!!!!
