ITT: We talk about how I finished Wyotech!

In this thread we talk about how I finished Wyotech. After about a year and 4 months, I finally fnished school at Wyotech. Started 9/13/04 and finished last friday which was 12/2/05. I quit my old job and start my new one in about 2 weeks. So after 1 year and 4 months of school straight in a row, I finally get a break. I graduated an honor student with absolute perfect attendance. My graduation ceremony is January 4th so I will be sure to get some pictures up!

what did you take at wyotech? and what is your next job going to be? because i might want to go there after HS.

I already have a job lined up as an allignment tech for an independent shop for $12 and hour flatrate. Book time for an allignment is 1 hour, so I should be making alot more than $12, if you catch my drift!

what did you take at wyotech?

I took automotive at4, which consisted of 10, 6 week phases that cover everything. Here is the list of classes and a short description:

AT1:
101 - Steering and Suspension - Self explantory
102 - Brakes - Ditto
103 - Engines - Ditto
104 - Manual Transmissions - Ditto
105 - Automatic Transmissions - Ditto

AT2:
106 - Chassis electrical - Basicall learn every about electricity, from soldering to parasitic draws
107 - AC and ignition - Learn how A/C system works, learn how to recharge AC systems with machines, also how ignition system works
108 - Fuel Managment - Learn everything fuel related, also learn about carbeuators
109 - Engine Performance - You basically learn about 5 gas and how to apply it to diagnosing a car

Now 110 is a totally different class, it is a huge review of 106-109, you'll take tons of tests, like the a6, a8, and L1. This is your last class.

It was alot of fun the past 15 months or so I was there. I definately recommend going there, it costs a pretty penny to go there though!

im from cali too! i was born in arcadia and i lived in rancho cucamonga until i was about 4. we decided to move back with our relatives here in PA and cuz the school system is horrible there.
