World Jr's hockey, Canada vs. USA...who's watching tonight?

Post by farmboy » Mon Jan 03, 2011 6:24 pm

Don't know what channel you all would get this on, presumably your big sports channel,. Just wondered who else will be watching? Game time is 7:30pm in Buffallo. It's usually a pretty good match up when our countries face off against each other.
Go Canada Go!

Edit...Forgot to mention. The winner goes to the Gold medal game on Wednesday against Russia. They beat Sweden this afternoon in a shoot out.

I'm probably the only hockey fan on this forum.. lol

The game is on NHL network here in the States.

I'd be at that game if I wasn't 1,133 miles away from HSBC Arena. I've watched just about every game of the World Juniors. Been some of the best hockey I've seen in quite some time. I love how wide open and full throttle the kids play. Being a Sabres Die Hard I really enjoy watching Zach Kassian and Marcus Foligno of Team Canada play. They are going to be something special when they make the NHL. But tonight I won't be rooting for Kassian or Foligno. It's all Red, White and Blue!

The best part about the World Juniors is that when they are over.... Tom Golisano is going to announce the sale of the Buffalo Sabres to Terry Pegula and the city of Buffalo will finally have an owner who's goal is to win a Stanley Cup rather than squeezing every last dime out of the franchise.

U-S-A U-S-A.

Oh and Go Sabres.

I couldn't believe the difference in Team Canada from the way they played against Sweden. They sure put on a performance last night though. Hopefully they carry that energy into tomorrow's game vs. Russia.

Sweden looked pretty crushed after their game yesterday. I won't be home in time to watch the Sweden vs USA game tomorrow at 3:30pm but I wish Team USA luck. They have the talent to win.

Isn't it a law that all Canadians must like hockey?

Congrats to Team USA on their 4-2 win over Sweden today. I know a Bronze is not what your team was hoping for but it's still pretty good.
