silver 03 neon sxt, it came with a dual tip r/t muffler and srt "17"s. My first exterior mod was a black srt hood then I cut out the middle gills in the front bumper.

I'm gonna get r/t sideskirts, mopar rear lip coupled with a BC front bumper then lower it on megans springs

Black 03 SXT... I started with wheels and tires. I didn't like the look of the stock ones.
Drove my neon until it was killed in a flood.

I was going to start with getting the SRT spoiler (duh), unless anyone else has any other good spoiler options. I was also going to go with black with chrome rims. Haven't quite decided which ones I am going with yet though.

Satart with the cheap stuff, remove the side moldings, lower the car, window tint. Then pick a body kit or lip kit you like and go to town you'll already have a good start to go from

02 SXT,
1st Tint windows
2nd Bought 205/55's for the snowflakes for a wider stance
3rd Rattled canned my snowflakes cuz I like 'em
4th Tinted tails, 3rd brake light and front turns
5th Lowered the car with Eibach Sportlines and Tokico Blues
6th Put SRT rear section
7th MPX Black Projectors with 8ks hid's

Keeping it on the exterior topic, that's pretty much what I've done so far. But now I think after working on the suspension and under the hood for a bit, I need to upgrade my overall exterior. Some carbon fiber, a suddle bodykit, and a refresher paintjob.

everyone for some reason thought i got new rims after i tinted my windows.

different rims and lowering makes a lot and does not cost that much.

In the long run, it would be more expensive to get a CF PVO spoiler, because I would have to get CF trunk to match.
I like the ideas of rims and lowering, and was thinking of going to tire rack to get my wheels and tires, unless someone knows a better site. Also, what is a good size wheel when it comes to putting rims on and lowering?

With the 04 SRT: Wheels/tires, CF hood (long gone), HIDs, lowering springs, eyelids, window tint followed by the paint job and everything else thereafter.

With the 04 SXT: lowered, window tint, lip kit, painted wheels, eyelids, retrofit, tinted tails, all within a couple of months.

I would stick with a 15" or 16" rim since on the stock Neon suspension the strut perch doesn't allow for large tires with the 17" and above rims. The largest I would go would be a 17".

i payed ~$800 for my wheel/tire set up, and i wish i would have
lowered my car before i started doing other things. ~$200 for
lowering springs?

^^Whoa...you just opened up a whole new door. It depends what kinda drop you want. A slight drop or a low drop. Some good brands are Tein, Eibach, H&R, etc. I chose Eibach Sportlines for a low drop but upgraded my struts with tokicos. Factory struts cant handle the stress of upgraded springs for too long so upgrading them at the same time is a good idea, kinda expensive all together, but good.

if you dont want to go low low, i would say a eiback prokit, about a 1.5 inch drop.

mine started bone stock, went with a mopar lip kit, front honda lip molded, headlight converstion, suby inspired hood, duel exhaust, and bbs 16 inch wheels.

How far down would 1.5 be? I don't want my fenders overlapping my tire, looking like a low rider.

1.5". Measure where your wheel well is to the ground now, then count down 1.5" and that is where it will sit.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Mpx headlights, then lip kit. If I could start over I would agree with everyone else. Lower it first (I still have to do this) and then maybe a newer front end conversion or lip kit, etc.
