how wide of a tire on a stock 16" r/t wheel?

i have a 02 r/t and was wondering if ne one knew if u could go ne bigger then the stock tire size? i wanna get snows and they arent very easy or cheap to find caz they r so uncommon.,...thanks

snows as in snow tires?... i would just trade me the r/t wheels for some steelies with almost brand new tires

Oh man don't put snow tires on those things. Get a spare set of steel wheels and do it that way.

yeah my all-season (used in the winter) i have 185s and i havent had any issues at all. I had my r/t 5s on for the first dusting of snow we got this year (summer tires with a 205 width) i was sliding everywhere
