rear defrost not working

rear defrost not working

having a problem with the rear defrost on my 2000 neon both tabs are still on the rear window switch lights up and i can hear the relay click anything more i can look at to find the problem?

its currently -7 here in buffalo and it would help a lot to have it working.

Check for voltage at one side, and ground at the other. The fastest way would be to touch the leads to both sides of the grid. If there is no voltage, then check each side for it's respective value (volts or ground).

If there is a good ground, and good volts, then the grid may be damaged. Just to add, mine took a good 25 minutes to completely clear this AM.Had to hit it again after it timed out. The first time only cleared the area at the grid lines. These are definitely not made for near 0º F temps. Without some help from cabin temperature. The second round, the heater had began to put some heat out. :)

This may sound way random and dumb... Lol but do your reverse lights work? Check the fuse for your reverse lights... The dfrost runs off the same fuse... Idk y but I'm having the same prob and it blows everytime I put it in reverse... Uhhhg
