sohc build in the works and need some ideas

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

What is hx 35?
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

That would be my first thought...

Popular turbo with the DSM crowd it seems, that might have something to do with it.

Leighvi424 - You might want to include a little more info about your plans and goals if you expect to get any quality advice. Maybe what engine you plan to use, power goals, engine management, budget, etc...

Thats what all the honda guys run around here.

Cheap/Easy to come buy. Makes lots of power. And apparently everyone around here has no problem with turbo lag, they just like to spin tires once they hit 5 grand then rev to 10.

At least they can rev high. We are out of steam by 7000-7500 so why have 2000-2500rpm of high power.

sorry about not getting back to you guys sooner. and yes the hx 35 is the holset turbo. and i do get that from my dsm background :) and unfortunatly i had to give up on the idea of building my neon because my gf had a kid. so it went back together, it recently tossed a wrist pin so i bought another one for 400 and almost 500 miles into me owning the car it ate 2 main bearings. so for now im giving up on my neons :(

nah like i said im goin to give up on the neons for now. im actually going to part them out and junk one of the shells and save the other one for a 4g63 swap i think. If you know anyone that needs parts let me know im selling everything cheap, and when i say cheap i mean if they cover shipping and like 5 to 20 bucks on almost anything they can have it. i need cash bad
