Multifunction Switch (EURO)

Post by nerox » Tue Jan 25, 2011 12:52 pm

so my UK neon multifunction switch is broken, the foglights dont work anymore and it seems to be having trouble turning the full beam on when i click the stalk forward ... so its time to buy a new one.

I have called the local Chrysler garages and they quote £120 ($200) for a new one :-s

I've seen some on eBay that i can buy from the US and import over here cheaper than i can buy them here.

The PN i have found is 5073045AB but someone said it wasnt the right part number althought it looks identical

Ive also seen what i assume to be another manufacturers part which has part number CBS1077

so im wondering if these will work and if its worth paying the extra $40 for the official chrysler one or not ... OR ... am i gonna have the buy the one from over here

mostly it is either the little white plastic piece inside or the connector. you can fix both and will find many threads over here.
search for user "gnuserup" - he is the multiswitch guru.
naturally especially for the euro-versions...

None of the US-spec switches will have the provisions for your rear fog lights.

(Im still in need of an export switch with rear fogs)

There are at least three different MFSs available, us-version with front-fog only and without rear-fog, bux-version anyways with rear-fog but without front-position and us/bux-version with rear and front fog.

Years ago I bought the mopar-frontfog-set from dodgeparts and what I got was a MFS with front and rear-fog-position - so I think, it should be possible to get them at the states, too.

If you urgently need a MFS and need front and rear-position, buy a bux-MFS with just the rear position and take the plastic-piece and board from your old one. It should be working fine (a buddy tried and it did). You will just be missing the front-fog-symbol on your switch.
