Factory Stereo w/ Aux input

Post by Canada » Fri Jan 28, 2011 10:36 am

Gents...

Coming from my Wrangler back to the 'ole Neon, I miss one thing a lot. I loved being able to plug my iPhone into the radio easily...

I looked online and found the iPod cable that can plug into the cd changer input in the back, but it forces you to use the radio as the interface, which I don't like...

So I ask you, is there a radio that will slide right into the existing hole and plug in like normal but has the aux plug on the front?

That's easy....nope.

But, you can do what I did to my Neon to give me a port (and charging) for my Zune.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Our generation of stereo were left out of the new audio tech. Chrysler didn't start adding a AUX input till the square face stereos came out.

And you don't need to go to the level I did for mounting it. Everything I installed can be used outside the console as well.

I also have an aux input with a stock radio.

It's in my log. I used a USA Spec adapter.
