Power Options Install
So I've got an 02 base with virtually no options on the thing. Before I really get into modding her I want to grab some stock parts out of a bone-yard to give 'er the power options she deserves. I've already swapped out the non-tach cluster for one with a tach. I was wondering If someone could list me off the parts I'll have to get to put in power locks, power windows, cruise control, and fogs. I'm not interested in a sun roof. That's just asking for leaks. I'm a little new to the whole DIY car thing, lol. I won't be puttin the stuff in myself, but unfortunately I have to find the parts myself, so if someone could list me the stuff that'd be great, lol.

Lucky for you we live in the same town.. If you get the stuff let me know I can help..That One Guy . . . wrote:That doesnt discourage me. If I'm nothing else, I'm persistent, lol.
Everything needed:
2001-2002 interior dash harness
2001-2002 interior rear body harness
All 4 door harnesses
front power window regulators
all 4 power lock actuators
Rke module
Power mirrors
The 2 front door panels + the switches
Alot of patience and work..
For fogs,
All you should need is the mfs switch w/fogs
Fog harness
Fog lights..
Cruise control is a bit more involved.
I know you need the module for the steering wheel and the cable, But I have no idea how it all go's togther..

Ok, thanks for this list. I'm gonna be haunting pull-a-part until I get it all. It'll be a while though, cause I'm a full time college student, and I just quit my job, lol. So I get a job, then I get the parts, lol.

Maybe I'll go aftermarket on it?
Ok, so I keep hearing what a pain in the arse that this is gonna be, but I really don't wanna give up on it. So, would it be easier to go with an aftermarket kit from SPAL for locks and windows? That, and can I sync it with my current alarm system? Any alarm system? (my current alarm system came with a power lock on the drivers door only, and no interior switches) And while I'm at it, which would be cheaper?

It would be cheaper to do the entire swap, with oem pieces.. then you don't have to worry about how everything will work together. That One Guy . . . wrote:Ok, so I keep hearing what a pain in the arse that this is gonna be, but I really don't wanna give up on it. I know for a fact that pull a part west cleveland, has a power options 02 there.. I have been grabbing crap off that car for the last month.
You can use an 02, a pin or two has to be switches around, its not hard.
The car still has the dash harness, body harness, drivers side regulator , actuators and door harnesses.
Its really not hard work, its just time consuming.

Since he has an '02, it should be nearly plug and play...

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Yeah, sometimes they decide to rape you with the prices. But money or no, they're not gettin 7 hours outta me while it's this ****in cold. If that means I've gotta wait, then I've gotta wait. Rather not freeze my you-know-what off.
