ok si i built a set of catch can i have the 2003 valve cover with a fitting and no pcv, the line runs through the cc and to the stock spot on the intake manifold and has a check valve. my problem is the cc is getting more than normal amount of oil, do i need to run the pcv and a check valve??

You want to run the PVC valve to regulate the amount of air being sucked out of the VC. You could experiment with different size orfices too, but that would be a fair amount of trial and error. You can put the valve at either end, as long as it is oriented in the proper direction. Mine is mounted to the IM, but I am also n/a, FWIW.
