Fuel pump or other issue

Post by v95 » Mon Feb 21, 2011 11:14 am

So my car has recently started to have trouble keeping power up at 5500rpm's and up. As soon as I hit 55 I feel power loss an te car backfire like crazy and spits out a few fire ball. I'm think the fuel pump is shitting out on me. I have the fuel pump flow fixed so it don't back up but I'm thinking it's just shitting out

I would think if it is spitting fire balls, it is getting fuel, just not burning the fuel well enough?

The coil may be crapping out/crossfiring.

garage is checking it out. I replaced coil pack and sparkpulgs and wires with grantelli not that long ago only 4500 miles ago it was done. and recently got pulsar spark plugs gapped at 35 and did not notice any problems. also does not throw any codes. I'll post more when the finish the test. i'm thinking time for that walboro and new AeroFPR.
