ok well now ive got it to turn over! im not getting power at the yellow wire from the ignition switch to the relay with the switch in the "start" position.
i took the cover off the relay and manualy closed the little contact inside with a screw driver and it turns right over now! so now im thinking i either have a bad ignition switch or that plastic rod piece that broke before is broken again.... what do you guys think?
need some help, car wont start.... ASAP please!

well i finally got her runnin again. picked up a new ignition switch but i think the real problem i was having was the ingition switch/tumbler actuator or whatever its called. the end that fits inot the ignition switch and actually turns it was broken and wouldnt aloow the switch to go itnto the "start" position. thanks for all the help everyone

Now your car feels like it's been to the doctor: They checked everything else, before they found the problem.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

had the same problem here. the wire from the battery to the starter was corroded. the problem was intermittent for me. If it wouldn't start i'd run a jumper cable from the battery to the starter and it would start right up. did that for about 6 months untill i got around to fixing it itwheels04sxt wrote:adam: my car will only start if i push start it. i let it warm up then shut it off and it wont start again. cold or warm.
well ive got it dialed down to the "brown" wire from the relay to the starter. ive got power on the hot side of the relay but it will not close. im going to try replacing it after work today and jumper the relay again to see what happens.
replaced it with a generic battery cable from the store and its been fine since.
