Sorry Gramps. I had like twelve messages waiting for me since September.

The car is clean. Bizarre package. . . leather wheel and shift knob, 4 disc changer, 4 wheel disc brakes, hammerhead, silverstones, chrome door handles, fake CF bezel, rear set headrests . . . ah shit I dunno. This car has more options than the other Neon did. It's got clunky rear suspension and 2nd gear grinds a bit. Engine is loud sorta, but a ton of the sensors and all the wheel bearings were just replaced. BONE stock. Except some haggard purple tint that I'll yank @ some point.

Plans are simple:

Louie rear bumper mod
'02 front w/ Mach 1 lip
R/T skirts
Angled cannon
Coils
Gunmetal or MSE style stones (they need work)
Dodge grill

I really wont be modding for a while. Gonna do the weld crap on the rear struts, buff headlights, etc... car needs some maintainence first.

I told HIM what the mods were going to be to his car, and those orders came from my mouth so don't talk bad about it! Hell I wanted to rock dual angled cannons on the silver car but the piping is near impossible to make it work. I STILL wanna rock an angled cannon on my daily.

Meh.

Maybe it's just the over saturation of Subarus up here with angled JDM cannons, but I'm not a fan. Didn't knock it, just said it didn't sound good to me.

Whatever floats your (or Adam's) boat then. Something about angled cannons just looks so 'off' to me. Guess I'll never understand it. :-k

I always thought this would clean up non SRT neons, since most dont have notches in there bumpers for an exhaust tip.

Image

Just run one or two mufflers midpipe and dump after the rear fender well.

Clean IMHO.

Ask him. I know he doesn't have much money though.

Jake - That would be loud as hell. You heard my non SRT with the 2 mufflers in the midpipe and that thing ws loud as hell and droned! haha

Driving inside the car it was super loud being that it was ATX. When it was under load it droned so badly. I know you, Colt and Clare all said you loved the way it sounded though haha

I promise that would sound like shit, but I dig the idea Jake. Louie rear bumper cut would be mint with that dump.

Ryan - good eye. I even peeped that and was like "too many 'ai' combos. Meh" Rofl. Eff mah nazi-ism.

Dumping the exhaust under the car is going to make interior resonance hell. The sound is trapped between the ground and the car, bouncing back and forth. It might sound great from the outside, but on the inside, not so much.

Plus it increases the chances of CO entering the car. You want it to exit out the side, or rear as close to/beyond the body.

Yea, but it's actually not legal. It's supposed to exit completely out the back instead of under. For Grrtrude, it's fine since there's plenty that's not street legal on her. But for sane people, you want to do the exhaust the right way.

I believe I called this one. I knew you couldn't deny the Kneeyawn.

You should probably lift it, though.

Welcome back. I can't recall well, but didn't you used to like the 03+ rear bumper better back when you had the old neon? I'm starting to think that too. lol

Yeah, I'd love me another '03+ rear and lip if I could find one. I hardly notice the boobies. As much as I dug the first Neon, I'm going to go a slightly different route with this one, so a regular '00 rear with Louie cutouts is where I'll head.

But cassette tape is only shiny when it sticks inside the deck, and you pull the cassette out, stringing it all over the car.
