Post by theguyver007 » Sun Mar 13, 2011 9:52 am

I noticed theres a few posts as to what part numbers are what for what car and asking where to get the parts.... Not sure if someone posted this up yet but hope it helps someone. Place is called Certifit They have a website google them you can see a full list of the body parts they have at decent prices better then dealer some times... Ive bought from them several times parts arnt to bad with some work ive goten them lined up good. Korean parts so dont expect perfection. Sorry if this isnt allowed...

Certifit is already pretty well known around here, and we already know you get what you pay for concerning fitment. A lot of members have Certifit bumpers.

The down fall with Certifit is last time I checked, they do not ship. So if you don't have one in reasonable driving distance, they are useless.

But to their defense, a lot of times the shipping cost makes the price too uncompetitive. You might be lucky enough to find an undamaged part in the JY for less. It might even be the right color.

they no longer have sides skirts. gotta find someone who has a set for sale. the mopar lip kit is available yet. as for the front bumper good luck on that too. r/t bumpers are getting harder to find these days to.

that being said if you also want to run the type r lip jut use an 02 neon bumper which is like the r/t bumper with out the lower lip. which if you run that type r lip you just be covering up anyways and would be a waste of an r/t bumper

Ok, so the 02 bumper has the same R/t grill? I have a 2000 and its the same as the first gen neons just an open slit from turn signal to turn signal. I thought only the R/t had that... But now that you mention that thanks lol i didnt know that part... As far as the R/t bumper Certifit i think has it...

Checked, My bad its the reinforcement...

It says R/t oh well i can still use the 02 one Nice... =) but they do have the rear with exhaust cut outs ...

You could get an export front bumper as well. It just doesn't have the side marker cut outs.

Ugh. I hate reading this all the time... I'm not blaming you really because if you aren't super into neons you'd never know that an '02 bumper is NOT the same as an R/T bumper. Hell, I've seen posts where veteran members didn't know the difference (granted they were old posts). And no, Certifit doesn't sell an R/T bumper. NO aftermarket manufacturer does. Just the regular 2002

R/T bumper. Notice the molded lip on the bottom of it. (This one also happens to be an export as you can see the side markers are not cut out)

Image

regular '02 bumper. no lip. see the difference? It's an important one. It means the difference between a $20 bumper and a $200 bumper

Regular '02 Certifit bumper with Si lip

Hope that helps clear things up for you.

crap... so they charge more for that?! jezus... cool now i know thanks man, i woulda spent the extra time and money finding that damn bumper when in fact i just wanted an 02... Why the hell did dodge do that? 00-05 is the same car but then you have 5 different bumpers... 00-01 now i find 02 has its own different set of bumpers... plus the srt design and the SRT4!! lol

I'm sorry, I said 2000 above where I mean regular 2002.

If you want to do a honda lip, buy the $20 certifit 02 bumper and the lip and you're golden. A real R/T bumper from the dealer will be around $400.

And yes different years and trims got different bumpers.

All 2000s were the same
in 2001 all used 2000 bumper except R/T which used 2002 style R/T bumper
2002 all used new "R/T style" bumper except R/T and ACR which used real R/T bumper
2003-2005 There was the fog light and non fog light bumper as well as the SRT-4 bumper and in 2005 the SRT Design bumper.

5018993AA R/T Model $539.00

5018992AA R/T Model EUROPE $312.00

Online dealers have them for less, but the shipping usually makes up for the difference. But for $227 less in list price, I would cut my own holes for side markers, if you are that attached to them/wish to remain legal. But I would bet not too many officers would really know or notice.

It would be more of a problem if an accident was caused/blamed directly from them not being there.

I only paid about $450 for my US-spec R/T bumper from the dealer.. this was 2 years ago too... maybe prices have gone up.

I didn't read all the replies carefully Ryan. I just saw the assumption that an 02 bumper was an R/T bumper lol

They do ship some things. I ordered my folding, power side mirrors from them and had them ship it. When I got my front bumper, however, I drove to their warehouse and paid $31 after tax.
