Check engine light...

Have some questions about how to achive better handling and stopping power using different springs, upgrading to coilovers, questions on swaybars, bushings, different rotors, pads, ect... Having any steering problems or questions about steering racks, tie rods, tie rod ends, ect... ask these questions here.

My check engine light is throwing the codes P1684 and P0551. I'm confused because I haven't touched my battery in over a year. Code 1684 Normally means that I disconnected the battery recently.

What's with code P0551? A power steering switch failure? I had my power steering belt replaced a few months ago, don't know if it's related.

sounds like power steering switch.
look in the service manual (section 19) where it is located. old known problem.

Oh - it could also be not enough steering fluid. check that first
