Sorry for the crappy pic. but the finish came out better than expected. I is happy :) Its supposed to be Red but it came out more of and red-orange. Much experimentation will follow :D

Hmmmm...I don't know. I've never liked painted fuel rails. I'd have to see it installed.

what chemistry of powder are you using? at what cure schedule? your color shift may be a result of overbaking the part

Chrome is fine to spray over.

What I do when we get chrome junk in to powder is just toss it in the blasting cabinet and give a light scuffing. I don't take all the chrome off, just scuff it and make sure the chrome isn't flaking or peeling and we powder right over the chrome.

We started out years ago with a harbor freight kit and an oven we found at a yard sale...and from there we moved on up and now we have big huge ovens and some pretty nice equipment.

Yeah, im looking for a cheap regular oven now. Right now Im using a George Forman toaster oven lmao. Needless to say, I can only coat small parts right now. Ive got some black chrome powder on the way from eastwood :)

it's the powder that is crap. the harbor freight stuff never comes out well. the stuff from summit racing is decent but i prefer to order from powder by the pound. their powder is of the highest quality.

pick up one of those infared temperature guns from harbor freight. they work well for the price. You should be basing your bake time off of the part surface temperature, not the time....
Yup it definately needs to go lower. If its not scrapeing constantly why you are driving then its not low enough bro.
