Stock SRT downpipe, on 03 SXT

Stock SRT downpipe, on 03 SXT

Post by derek » Thu Mar 24, 2011 12:25 pm

Sorry if this question has been asked, but I have searched and can't seem to find anyone who has done it. The reason I am doing this is because I have my stock downpipe from my SRT just sitting in the shed, and the cat converter on my girlfriends SXT is coming apart.

Now my question is, will it bolt directly on, or do I need to have a reducer welded to the end of the downpipe. The stock exhaust size on an SRT is 2.25'' and I believe it is the same on the SXT, at the midpipe/downpipe end, correct?

I believe it is a bolt on. There might be some slight length difference or something like that, but I think it has been done. If you do bolt it on, post up some pics, if you have a camera.

i can tell you for a fact that the SRT downpipe and Neon downpipe are interchangable... I have one on my sxt. overall the same length from flange to midpipe, just the cat itself is a little longer on the SRT...
