Trans. Question!!

Post by TheComeBackidd » Sat Mar 26, 2011 4:38 pm

I was doing work on the car while i had my friend bolt up the clutch and install the TOB. then we bolted the trans to the motor and when we got everything buttoned up to finish..the clutch fork would hardly move..it moves very little and it sounds like its hitting against something inside, and its preventing me from bolting the slave cylinder back up cause it wont fit now cause the fork wont move..does anyone have any ideas or have this happen to them befor? the only thing i can think of is that he installed the TOB in backwards..?? any ideas people?

Do you know if he installed the fork on the tabs of the TOB?

I dont know EXACTLY what would happen persay, but Im (guessing here) gonna say that it wouldnt hold the TOB in place and could slide off and lock up by holding the TOB firmly to the clutch not letting it release properly. Its still a "GUESS" though cause thats how I visualized happening with my buddys 420A eclipse when he replaced his clutch, but the great people here helped us clear up his problems.
