My 2gn

I bought this car about a month back. Found it on CL for $600. Timing belt was broke and the water pump was seized up. I have had many 1st gen Neons. This is my first 2nd gen. I tore the engine down last week and installed the timing belt and water pump and hoped for the best. Well needless to say it started and ran really bad. So I found out I had a few bent valves. So today I tore it back down and replaced the head gasket and installed a head. I got it going back together and got a nice rain storm so I had to knock off early today. So tomorrow I need to set the timing again and hope for the best. I plan to experiment with my old head and see what I can do with it. These photos are from today before I have done anything with it.

Is it just me or is cyl. 1 not at TDC? Nice pickup though.

I wish I still had my 1st 2gn for a daily so I could build up my 04.

Its been adjusted since this pic was taken. It is at tdc now.
