Wings west kit(RIS racing)
Wings west kit(RIS racing)
I was wondering what you guys thought about the wings west (RIS racing) kit. I have the chance to get it for good cheap price. All urathane and it is the 15 piece kit. I have a Stone White Neon and I want a kit that would look good with the color. I was wanting to do the custom retro lights like a couple of people have on here, along with carbon fiber hood, tails, and a carbon themese vinyl like the cuda stripe. I also want to put Kobe VIZ-5 17" rims. Tell me what all you guys think about this and if someone could do a photoshop of it, it would be greatly appreciated. But not in need.

yep
. that is the kit. I have always liked it myself but I knew I didn't seen anyone on the org with the kit. I can get the kit right now for $330
from my sponsors. So I thought it was a good deal compared to what all I have seen on other sites. Plus WW is about to go out of business completely by the way things have been that I have heard. But I am not to sure. I am new to the org so I haven't been able to get to know all of you guys and girls....(don't want to offend anyone one here), but I would like to get to know all of you.
was the kit a good fitment or did you have to do a lot of sanding to get it to fit. I am kinda of wanting to do the work myself except for paint because I do not have the space or the setup to do the painting. So I want something I do not have to do a ton of work to it to get it to fit right. I want one I can mount up in my driveway within a couple of days.
I really like the front and sides, just wish the back was a little more plain like the srt-4 is. For $330 I'd say definately go for it, not many people have it and it would turn heads.
Floyd do you have any pics of the rear? I've never actually seen pictures of it, just the little ones on the wings west website, maybe it looks different in person.

as long as you don't get an extremely small one then no, I've heard a lot of people say their reception was not effected. Here's a 12" one for example:

I don't know where other people got theirs, you can check on ebay and stuff.

I have not seen the WW RS kit on a white 2gn.. but now that I think of it I imagine it would look pretty sweet. Here's a couple pics of the kit on my silver '03.. sort of close to white if you want an idea.. I personally think the kit looks nicer on lighter colors because you can see the linesof the kit easier.

here is a close-up of the nice little metal "W"s that come with the kit

I have had the kit for a year.. very nice fitting and durable. I whacked a curb pretty hard one day when it was raining, and other than needing new paint, the bumper had no damage. My wheel, on the other hand, was not so fortunite

thanks supertrick_05, im using mopar stage 2 coilovers w/out stop rings. next week im replacing the 215/35 tires with 225/40, so i may have to lift it up a little bit for clearance issues, but hopefully the tires will fill up the wells a little better.
