lowering on stock srt4 struts question.

Post by lilnicko11 » Sat Apr 16, 2011 8:31 am

so im really getting antsy and annoyed with wheel gap. I am considering possibly buying some lowering springs before all my other performance parts such as a wideband, dsp, wotbox, etc. My question is, how well do the stock SRT4 struts stand up to lowering springs? I am going with a VERY mild drop with either the Tein H Techs or the Mopar Stage 1's. the Tein's are a 1.2 lower in the front & 1.5 lower in the back. The Mopars are 1inch on each. Obviously, if I could afford some BC Coils I would do it but honestly I cant with other bills and shit. I just dont want my struts to be shot after a year of use either though. So let me know your information and what you think on this matter. Thanks guys. I appreciate it as always.

stage ones are made by mopar you would think that the stock struts are made for it.

I have progress springs on stock struts... it's a little bouncy but honestly, not THAT bad.

I'm the kind of person that would rather have it bouncy than stiff though...lol I think stiff suspension would hurt my back more than just bouncy.

How many miles are on the stock struts?

If its more than 50k or so they will probably blow sooner than later with lowering springs.

If you are annoyed by wheel gap the Mopar springs arent going to help you much, the wheel gap is still pretty huge. The Tein setup is a nice and gets the wheel gap to a decent level.
This site used to be good....
