fuel pump
depending on mileage of the car and how good you want the reliability to be, why not just change the fuel pump module? I installed a Bosch fuel pump module on my 2000 ES. Yes it's pricey at $229.00 but there is no comparison when the pump goes out with the family or gf in the car, trust me. With the module you get the pump, fuel level sender, new strainer sock, and the filter/fuel pressure regulator. Just saying, but it's your decision. If funds don't allow it I understand. That is a lot of cash to shell out at one time. Took me 2 months to save up and was sweating the pump all the way.
