Swap the cluster with another 2gn with around the same mileage (or deal with the odometer being off) aaaand, I believe you'd have to change the PCM too so the tachometer will work. If not, perhaps just having it reprogrammed?

Not sure about that part, but I do know that plugging in a cluster from any other 2gn (non SRT) will work for everything else. If you use an SRT cluster, your speedometer will be off.

You only need the cluster with Tachometer. The speedometer will be good. The board in the cluster determines where the needle goes.

You may have to remove the brake light bulb, as in most cases, it will stay on. There is a work around, but unless you are really good at soldering on very small printed circuits...

The mileage thing, Sean is correct on. You are stuck with the cluster mileage, going from non tach to tach cluster.

I thought the signal coming from the PCM to an SRT cluster would not make the speedo correct?

Also, I thought the brake light bulb was only an issue with the abs to non abs?

At least I'm right on one thing!

The signal from the PCM is the same. The board in the cluster modifies it to read for either the 120, 140 or 160 mph overlay.

Hm. Learn something new every day it seems.

To be clear, that's R/T or SRT-4 but not regular models that are affected by the brake light glitch?

If you find one that is not from an SRT you can swap the board that holds the mileage so you can grab any of them.

You can only swap boards between like clusters for everything to work properly.

A 120 mph tach cluster board will not display the speed correctly in a 140 mph cluster and vise versa. (140 and 160 mph clusters are only available with tach.)

A 120 mph non tach cluster board will not work in a 120 mph tach cluster.
