axle issues

i had a set of stock axles rebuilt 30 days ago. i took my srt to the track last saturday and on the 3rd launch it broke. it didnt wheel hop or anything just pulled hard and broke the tulip piece inside the inner hub. has anyone ever broke srt axles?

I've seen them brake all the time...... Stock SRT axles arent that great to begin with and then having them rebuilt weakens them even more IMHO.

save up the money and go DSS...if you're putting down enough torque to snap an axle without wheel hop...it's about time to upgrade regardless...

Kyle breaks axles like it's his job on his SRT... I think he is saving up for those DSS axles or some other upgraded axle

yeah i was running a 225-55-17 snow tire on 10lbs and it grabbed pretty hard. looks like i should go dss

Although you must be running alot of power because I only break them when wheel hopping...

And you took your car to the track with snow tires? Strange lol...

And I am saving up for either DSS or Gator. Haven't decided which yet.

Snow tires = softer compound. He didn't say how much tread was left on them.

exactly they are done for tread wise, and snow tires with a little bleach on 10psi grabbed harder than i thought they would

i have DSS stage 3 axles for my turbo build...i'll be surprised if i ever brake them...i'm only planning on hitting 400-450 and dont plan to race very often...
