Luis, it's cool man, no offense taken. I wasn't in any "situation" at all really. I was in a situation, Josh Zombie bailed me out of it and I was making payments back to him. That loan was almost paid off and the money from the Neon took care of the rest of that loan so I'm now "debt free" besides my school loan. So my finances are all good now.
The reason I dumped the Neon and got the Blazer is very simple. I hated the Neon for the past couple years. I'm much happier driving a Blazer than I ever was driving the Neon. So in a nutshell you could say I swapped cars for my sanity, even though financially it isn't the smartest move I could have made.
Paul... I've so far given the truck a tune up, replaced the MAF and am working towards getting the trans rebuilt. Otherwise no surprises really, the truck starts and runs when I need it to.
Yup, still happy and HOLY SHIT did I get drunk tonight. End of the world family BBQ and all... once again we had my 60 year old aunts and uncles up doing kegstands. I fucking love my family sometimes!

If I were 6'3'' and weighed approx 300 lbs I would be uncomfortable in a Neon. Sometimes my Neons give me claustrophobia, and I'm 5'6'' and 183 lbsTheRandom1 wrote: The reason I dumped the Neon and got the Blazer is very simple. I hated the Neon for the past couple years. Well, I Had the trans rebuilt and it worked fine...for a week. Then I went offroading, did this:

And blew up the trans again. Had it rebuilt the 2nd time with upgraded internals and an aftermarket trans cooler so I should be good to go now... but now I'm paying off the loans for the 2 trans rebuilds, so no playing around just yet. The truck has developed a misfire that's irritating, but not too bad so I'm waiting a couple more weeks and then I'll look into it (payday will make more funds available for repairs)
Otherwise I'm just driving it and enjoying it every day.
Oh, I also "fixed" the A/C well enough for this year. I just grabbed a canister of that A/C refill with stop leak and tossed it in. A/C isn't all that cold, but it's enough to keep the truck pretty comfortable on the hottest days. A couple weeks ago we had the hottest temps here in Chicagoland in 6 years and I was comfy driving home from work. It's not as cold as the Neon was, but it's cold enough for me. Probably needs some more fluid, but I'm going to test it a few times to make sure it isn't losing anything before I have the system recharged professionally... no sense spending that cash twice and all.
