srt exhaust cam in 2.0 dohc head?

Post by DistrictTAPS » Sun May 08, 2011 9:45 pm

i have been trying to find info all over and havent been having much luck. just out of curiosity, has it been done? is it even worth doing? will it at least sound cool lol? i have an 01 r/t and the head is beat. i would love to do the 2.4 head swap and eventually do a turbo setup but the turbo wont be for a long while and i dont want to go that long with less power than i have now. im no trying to build a fast car otherwise i would have kept my trans am, but i at least want something fun and unique. any info or insight would be awesome.

Well, the 2.4 DOHC cams are less agressive than the oem 2.0 DOHC cams.

Only with adjustable cam gears. I have a set of 2.0L cams that I actually had installed in my 2.4L turbo build and I ended up just going back to the 2.4L cams before I got everything buttoned up and running.
