Code P0304

Post by supercommuter » Wed May 11, 2011 4:19 pm

Just got a CE and the code is P0304. Car is running fine, new plugs, just changed the oil last week, new PCV valve. 162K miles. Any ideas?

That's the 4th cylinder misfire code. Pull the spark plug boot off on the forth cylinder and see if there is like a white/greyish ring around it. If so than it's misfiring. If not it could still be misfiring since it's throwing the code. Replace the wires ever? Could be coil pack. A defective plug. Bad wire. And possibly more. Keep us posted. I'm sure Bill, Frank, or Dante will chime in soon.

Thanks. I replaced the plugs, but not the wires. I guess I'll do that next.
