Where do I plumb my lines at?

Post by 00Neon RCR » Fri May 13, 2011 1:48 am

Hey where do I plumb my lines for my turbo at on my 99 Cirrus 2.4 block?

Image
What is this silver line for in this picture? Where do I plumb it at?

Image

What is the short silver line in this picture for?
What is the black line in this picture for?
What is the flexible silver line in this picture for?
Where/how do I plumb these up on my setup?

Image
Is this plug a coolant passage or oil passage? My block is a 99 Cirrus 2.4

Would it be proper to plumb this line into this port?

The larger silver lines are for coolant feed and return. You can tap off of the heater core lines for these if I am not mistaken. The silver line with the braided section is oil feed to the turbo, I just used a tee in to where the oil pressure sending unit is and got oil from there, im pretty sure the plug there is for coolant not oil but I could be wrong). The black one is for oil return to the block. You will have to tap the pan and put a fitting in it to do this.

Hey man that is EXCELLENT help. To top it off, I'm using the SRT heater core lines. As well as the SRT oil pan. So those lines are taken care of. The Oil feed line ya, I should be able to do that just get a "T' fitting. As for the plug, ya it would make sense that it is coolant and NOT oil cause the block heater is connected to it. *silly me* . Oil return for the block, I'm assuming I can thread one of those plugs out of the oil pan and just plumb it to that?

One last thing, I'm using the SRT oil cooler, how do I go abouts plumbing that up with coolant?

Once again, thanks for the help!

Ok so I've still yet to plumb my lines just trying to think of the best way to do this. Would this sound logical for coolant lines (remember I'm using the oil cooler too)

1) Turbo coolant pickup comes from the little split pipe on the srt hardpipe.

2) Oil cooler pickup comes from the plug I point to in my picture in OP.

3) Turbo coolant return and oil cooler return plumbed into split pipe on srt hardpipe (there is one on the return pipe as well)

Would the above steps work? Like I'm assuming the coolant will be able to be forced up "hill" persay.
