Post by thisdieingdream1 » Fri May 13, 2011 3:38 pm

i have the infinity kappa 693.9i 6x 9 speakers and the infinity kappa 63.9i 6 1/2 speakers. i have them powered by the pioneer gm-d9500f amp

i am confussed at what frequency setting my amp should be set at for my 6x9s and my 6 1/2 speakers...

4 channel amp. 4-channel variable high- and low-pass filters (40-500 Hz, 12 dB per octave)

6 1/2 speakers. frequency response: 45-30,000 Hz

6x9 speakers. frequency response: 35-30,000 Hz

start out at around 80 and see how they respond. if they start to distort then move up.

I dont know if you solved your question yet and have your amp set. But my suggestion would be to start out at around 100 as the smaller type mid/high speakers tend to distort less at this frequency or maybe even 120 hz.
