I got a call today from my friend at the dealership and they've received a 2005 dodge neon SRT4 in the other day 64,xxx miles, black for $10k I'm seriously thinking about it but I'm unemployed at the moment and getting a loan would be hard if not impossible. What do you guys think? Should I try for it knowing I probably will be turned down for a loan or should I let this one pass me by?
Thanks for your guys collective input. you guys are right, I can't possibly go for it when I don't have a job. I guess I got too caught up in the dream of having an SRT

Well obviously you need to pass it by. Without a job, its a matter of time before the bank takes the car, if they approve you for a loan at all.
Wheel gap? Never heard of it.

Why would you buy a new car when you don't have a job?

Sorry to ruin your fantasy but you should bank whatever UI you don't immediately need to live on. I took a
second job for three years to pay for my SRT (first job for mortgage, etc.).

Buying a vehicle (with a loan) without a job is the dumbest thing you can do.

^ Yea for real.
But I agree with everyone else. Buying a car with no job, unless you are rich to begin with is a bad idea. 10k for an srt with 64k is not an amazing deal that you can't pass up to begin with.
Not to mention, with the srt not only do you get a payment and higher insurance, but more high maintenance.

Unfortunately, no bank will provide a loan on the basis of UI.
Sort out the job situation... then find another car.
