Hey everybody, My names Jake . I will hopefully be the owner of a 2G this coming weekend . A neighbors daughter is out of work and without a vehicle as her 03 neon needs a transmission . she is selling it for $200 to get a down payment on a diff vehicle . it has 160k on it ... charcoal grey . I think this is a opportunity I cannot pass up

well I got my neon early ...showed up at my house last night ... and Im last check from my old job showed up ... 3 months late and paid for the car

so now on to fixing issues

well car is parked at the moment after a quick lap around the yard to get the SEl to come on ..then hooked up a DRB III and got a code for loss of prime on my transmission ... a few guys i worked with suggested that the filter or O-Ring in the pan had fallen off . the transaxle has been rebuilt within 100k by a no name company so maybe it is installer error?

I just bought a 03 for $824. Needs a few valves changed. I got the head back in it and need to do the timing. I will hopefully have it running today. I have been working on it in my spare time and not really in a rush. I was hoping to have it running earlier in the week but my wife wouldn't let me. All of her stuff comes before...lol
