Mopar Lip kit and small animals
I just drove home from a friends place and the road home was a racoon mine field, I know eventually im going to collect one with my front lip. I was wondering how they hold up to small animals haha. I hit a couple with my '01 and never had a problem.

On my way to Delaware 2 years ago, I was following a car and it swerved to miss a dead deer laying in the left lane, I didn't have enough time to react and hit it with the right front @ 70MPH. I went right over top of it with my car, lowered on BC Coilovers and a CBD ELW Carbon Lip. It ripped the lip right off, tore chunks out of the bottom of the bumper where the bolts held the lip on and ripped my wheel liner out. That's it. I got really lucky. I'll have to see if I can dig up pics of it.

The key is 4x4 status. My car still isn't lowered and I toasted a raccoon with no damage at all. If you can't go over the animal- i.e you are too low- the lip is toast. That being said, its no reason not to be low- you just have to be extra careful. I'm going to have to change my driving habits once I get around to it...
